Drilling starts at Yarlington Housing Association

Loopmaster are working closely with Kensa Engineering on a social housing project in Misterton, Somerset, on behalf of Yarlington Housing Association.

LME has completed the design of the ground source energy system and commenced drilling in September.

LME undertake feasibility studies in London and Paris for another top fashion brand

Loopmaster have once again been approached by an international fashion house intent on developing their flagship stores across Europe. Feasibility studies have been going on in fashion capitals; London and Paris, to assess the options for open loop ground source energy systems within these beautiful cities.

The feasibility will be based on a full LME report including acquifier availability, accessibility, heating and cooling needs and required efficiencies. We hope to be able to announce the results very soon.

Stephen Orton joins as Operations Manager

Stephen Orton joined the team in August and will be responsible for overseeing the management of a number of our contracts. Stephen has a wealth of experience managing projects within the construction industry and will be handling everything from orchestrating proceeding to making sure all the administration is up-to-date with our main contractors. Welcome on board. ;

Juliet Ireland joins the team as Admin Co-ordinator

Juliet is bravely taking responsibility for a range of administration areas within the company. She will be managing the admin across all departments, acting as PA to Andy and Iain Howley and also supporting Office Manager, Steph Cauchi within the accounts area. ;

Sheena Wells off on maternity leave

The baby is due in two weeks time so we hope all goes well and we're sure the girls are looking forward to a new baby sister or brother to play with. We're all looking forward to the first visit back to introduce the new addition to the LME team.

Loopmaster go back to their drilling roots

Loopmaster are to venture back into completing the drilling aspect of some of their design and build projects in-house. Iain Howley commented “We are currently working in partnership with UK heat pump manufacturer Kensa to design and install ground source energy systems for social housing projects. To keep the costs as low as possible, speed up the process and deliver the best possible efficiencies, we have decided to do these particular projects ourselves. On our more traditional large scale commercial sites, we will continue to maintain and develop our relationships with our core of drilling sub-contractors. We are looking forward to this new avenue for LME in scheme delivery”.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) Engineer Appointed

Computer Aided Design (CAD) is an increasing important tool used in the planning and presentation of 3D plant room layouts. Loopmaster Europe have recently employed an additional Engineer to cope with the demand for this aid which through simulation can improve the efficiency of build-time saving both time and money through enabling accurate off site fabrication .

Drilling project complete at flagship Prada store, London

LME have completed the ground source energy project at Prada's flagship store in Old Bond Street, London. Barry Giles, LME Operations Manager commented:

"This project has been one of the most technically demanding projects LME have ever undertaken. Our previous experience at the famous Scott’s Restaurant (Mayfair) stood us in good stead for this one but removing a 3m square plate glass window and getting the drilling rig inside the shop was tricky."

36 boreholes completed within programme for BAM Construction

LME have completed the ground loop project at Lower George Street, Richmond for BAM Construction. Les Morrice – Senior Engineer commented “ We were under pressure to get the 36 boreholes completed within programme because the ground loop installation was right on the critical path. We achieved that and continued to work with BAM, connecting and testing our circuits in sections so were able to maintain the ground floor slab pour programme” .
